Lying along Interstate-4 between Orlando and Tampa is Polk County. At Polk’s center is the Lakeland/Winter Haven Metropolitan Area. The largest city between Tampa and Orlando,  Lakeland is a staple in Florida’s agriculture industry, producing tomato and citrus crops for national and international markets as well as livestock farming. CSX, the area’s main locomotive operator and logistics company, opened a large-scale logistics center in Winter Haven capable of moving 300,000 shipping containers annually. The area also leads the state in industry and technology and is home to Florida Polytechnic University and the Polk State Clear Springs Advanced Technology Center. Industrial real estate space consists of nearly 40,000 sq. ft. in Polk County, with 25,000 sq. ft. centralized around the Lakeland area.
